Aalborg OL
De Alfa Laval Aalborg OL is een grote maritieme ketel die grote hoeveelheden stoom of heet water produceert. Verkrijgbaar in twee drukniveaus, heeft hij een top-gestookt ontwerp dat warmteoverdracht maximaliseert en drukverlies minimaliseert. Klaar voor de energietransitie, kan de OL werken op olie, biobrandstof en een alternatieve brandstof naar keuze. Daarnaast kan hij als elektrische hybride worden uitgevoerd of hier later voor worden voorbereid.
Grootcapaciteitsketel op meerdere brandstoffen met hybride opties
- Produceer 12.500–45.000 kg/u stoom of heet water met hoge brandstofefficiëntie.
- Beheer boil-offgas veilig terwijl je 10.000–55.000 kg/u stoom produceert.

De Aalborg OL is een toekomstbestendige keuze waarmee u kunt overstappen op LNG, methanol of ammoniak – zodra het moment daar is. Hybride en hybride-klare opties dragen bij aan de flexibele configuratie, samen met de keuze voor een ontwerpdruk van 9 of 18 bar(g).
Net als alle Alfa Laval Aalborg scheepsboilers, bouwt de Aalborg OL voort op meer dan 100 jaar ervaring met boilers, branders en thermische toepassingen aan boord. Tegelijkertijd is hij voorbereid op de toekomst. Deze boiler met grote capaciteit is geschikt voor elke maritieme brandstof die momenteel wordt gebruikt of besproken, waaronder LNG en methanol.
De in eigen huis ontwikkelde Alfa Laval Aalborg-boileroplossingen worden getest en geoptimaliseerd in het Alfa Laval Test & Training Centre en zijn uitvoerig beproefd op zee. Multi-fuel capabilities
The Aalborg OL supports multiple decarbonization strategies. Built on a fuel-flexible boiler platform, it can operate on oils and biofuels – and be configured for an additional alternative: LNG, methanol or ammonia.*

Hybrid operation with electricity
As well as supporting multiple fuels, the Aalborg OL can be configured as a hybrid boiler for electric operation. This lets you cut direct emissions by taking advantage of shore power or surplus electricity on board.
Future-proof conversion options
If you aren’t ready for an alternative fuel or hybrid capability today, the Aalborg OL can still be prepared. New boilers can be delivered multi-fuel-ready and/or hybrid-ready, making later conversion easy and cost-efficient.
Optimized furnace design
The Aalborg OL furnace contains minimal refractory and has membrane walls with gas-tight polygonal panels, making it resistant to gas pulsations. The chamber can be inspected easily without dismounting the wind box.
Alfa Laval Touch Control
The Alfa Laval Touch Control system provides clear overview and intuitive boiler control. Robust and PLC-based, it offers both future-proof expansion possibilities and support for remote troubleshooting.
LNG safety options
When using LNG, the Aalborg OL can take on additional functions. The boiler can safely combust boil-off gas (BOG) or free flow from the LNG tank, as well as the mix of inert gas and methane created before and after tank inspection.
